What is wrong with my grass

Lady at donut shop asked us to go take a look. New zoysia put in april of this year. No irrigation.
We have been running 100F plus minus a few degrees for about 2 months and NO rain.

Any doubt what the problem is? It just might come out because we are being pounded with rain right NOW
