what's the difference between .5 and .75" hedge trimmers? Googled and surprisingly didn't find any info.
Obviously the 3/4 will cut thicker branches but are the .5" better for when you don't have to cut thick branches?
I use 3/4" and find I have to do quite a few passes to get a clean final cut on some floppy type things like arborvitaes etc. I find they work better if sharper than factory specs but yes they can chip more easily. would using the smaller 1/2" work better for certain shrubs?...
