Usually I just quote the customer a price and get the job done. So if I put in 5 yards and it looks sufficient, is it okay to call it a day? Or is the customer expecting the amount I told them? They already negotiated on the price a little. I usually over estimate by about a yard in my quotes just to make sure I don't end up short. Why I told them how many yards I thought it would take, I have no idea. Are they going to ask for receipts to make sure I actually put in what I said? I don't...
Made the mistake of telling customer how many yards of mulch i'd put in.
