Shrub Growth Inhibitors

Has anyone out there used Trimtect to radically reduce new shoots on ornamentals after trimming? I watched a webinar recently (I think it was from LM) and was hoping for some input from actual users.

Also-can anyone suggest other products the accomplish the same goal? And REALLY work?
