Leaf box and new stand

so question 1. Do I go with mesh tarp for top of leaf box or chicken wire. 2. I am trying to keep my box at 4' height and j need 6' to get the shoot into box. I am thinking about running a small 2' declining channel in the center of the box so the vac hose can fit in. Has anyone ever done that. No negative feedback is appreciated. First year doing the whole leaf vac stuff all suggestions and tips are welcome.
