Bush removal help

I'm working up a quote that includes digging out a bush. My best google fu leads me to believe it's a red bark dogwood. It's not looking too good and the guy needs it removed reom next to his driveway to widen it. I removed a crepe myrtle last year for the guy with a digging bar, shovel, and a high lift jack. And it still worked me over. Any tips on digging this out? No tractor or similar type equipment.
