Freshening up rock beds

This client has about 1000 ft.² of rock beds around his pool. He asked me to add some more rocks to it to freshen it up a bit. However this rock is no longer available in Little Rock. The only thing I can think to do is to keep it weed free and blown out. Do you have any other suggestions to help keep it looking fresh?
