Blowing around pools and other water features

I spent three hours today blowing leaves from around a pool and a water feature/koi pond. Much of the time was spent trying to avoid blowing into the water and removing the debris that did get in it.

is there a way around this? Or do you just bill more giving the added complexity? Do you think it’s your responsibility to clean out the pool or pond when done?
