Northeast Spring, Fertilize Perennials & shrubs??

Planted ~300 shrubs & perennials last year. From Leland cypress to PJM to Maple trees to Beach grass. First year of growth I want to give it a boost.

What products are the most affordable way to get Nitrogen to everything? I have compared the liquid spray from Miracle Gro and the 10-10-10 pellets. What do the pros recommend is fast/cheap way to get dynamite results?
